Telegent Named CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award Honoree

Sunnyvale, CA – November 13, 2009 – Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile, today announced that it has been named an honoree in the 2010 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards within the Enabling Technology category for its TLG2300 analog and digital PC TV receiver. The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program honors advancements in design and engineering in 36 consumer electronics product categories and is recognized as a hallmark for the best designed products in consumer technology.

Honorees are selected by a panel of judges consisting of engineers, independent industry designers and journalists. Honoree products will be featured in the Innovations Showcase during the 2010 International CES show and exhibition in Las Vegas January 7-10.

The TLG2300 is the industry's first single-chip DVB-T and NTSC/PAL/SECAM PC TV receiver enabling broad access to free-to-air TV on PCs and portable devices using existing broadcast and cable infrastructure. As the first single-chip solution supporting both digital and worldwide analog TV standards, the TLG2300 combines the benefits of digital TV with the availability of analog, enabling live TV reception regardless of digital deployment. Designed for a wide range of applications such as the fast-growing netbook category, the TLG2300 delivers high video sensitivity and picture quality while significantly reducing size and power consumption relative to existing solutions.

"Innovation is at the heart of our culture," said Sam Sheng, president and CEO of Telegent. "We are honored to be recognized by CES for our team's achievement in hybrid analog and digital broadcast TV reception with the TLG2300."
